Managing Veterinarian

Nigel is the Managing Veterinarian of the Northgate Vet Hospital. Dr. Steyn has acquired a wealth of experience over the last two decades in small animal practice. He obtained his first degree in veterinary medicine in Zimbabwe in 1992.

He then completed the rigorous Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Examinations in the UK in 1995. After migrating to Australia in 2003, he joined the Vets4Pets team and is now Northgate’s Managing Veterinarian. Nigel has completed numerous postgraduate course in small animal surgery and orthopaedics.

Nigel’s special interests are small animal orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Outside work at the Northgate vet, he enjoys his young family and occasional archery.
