Dr Robert Turner
Hailing from Zimbabwe, Dr. Turner has been passionate about becoming a veterinarian for as long as he can remember. Having walked into the local veterinary practice at a tender age of 8 and seeing orphaned cheetah cubs in the dog kennels, he was hooked. The local veterinarian always made time for him and nurtured the interest. From treating dogs and cats, to going out to farms to treat cattle and horses, and even into the “bundu” (bush) to further educate him in conservation medicine. His dreams were fulfilled when he left Zimbabwe and started vet school in New Zealand; at one of the most recognized programmes, Massey University.
Dr. Turner has been fortunate enough to be affiliated with University of Pennsylvania, University of California, Davis and Cornell University for lengthy periods during his final year of study, where he had the privilege of learning from some of the world’s best veterinary clinicians. He has worked in India on two occasions, in China with Moon bears for a short stint and has been practicing up in Cairns for the last few years. He has a strong interest in all aspects of veterinary science, with particular affection of canine and feline medicine, diagnostics, veterinary imaging, soft tissue surgery and zoo/exotic species.
Dr Cheryl Lordan
Dr. Cheryl Lordan was born and raised in Melbourne. She moved to Adelaide shortly after graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2006 and has since been focussed on small animals with a strong interest in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging, especially ultrasound.
Cheryl spends her spare time at the gym, snowboarding, gardening, cooking, sewing or doting on her much loved and spoiled pets; fiancé Mitchell, 15 year old fox terrier cross Cindy, three domestic short hair cats Blackie, Vex and Squeak and her horse George, who lives in the hills, there isn’t enough room for him here!
Dr Kylie Wray
Kylie was born and raised in Zimbabwe. She attended the University of Zimbabwe in 1992 where she completed her Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science in 1994. In 1995 she travelled to the UK where she sat her RCVS exams. From there she worked mainly in Zimbabwe but also did locum work in the UK until 2000. Dr Wray then went to Namibia for two and a half years where she became involved in wildlife work.
She obtained her Masters Degree in Small Animal Medicine in 2007.
Dr Amanda Auricht
Amanda grew up in Perth, Western Australia and graduated from Murdoch University in 1982. She has since worked in a small animal practice in Tasmania, Perth, suburban Adelaide and Gawler. Over the years, she has developed a keen interest in small animal medicine, particularly feline medicine. In 2007, Amanda completed the Sydney University Post Graduate Foundation in Veterinary Science Distance Education Course in Feline Medicine. For 16 years prior to joining Vets4Pets Amanda was a small animal practice owner, so becoming an employee has required quite an adjustment!
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys attending the gym (pilates, rowing and body balance are her current favourites), walking with her dogs (especially at the beach or in the bush), and cooking. She has 2 beautiful teenage children of whom she is very proud.
Dr Ming Goh
Ming is originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She moved to London to study at the Royal Veterinary College. After graduating with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2008, she worked in small animal practices in the UK for 2 years before volunteering in the US and Malaysia to broaden her experience. She moved over to Australia at the end of 2011 to work as a locum in Melbourne and Sydney before joining Vets4Pets in 2012. Her special areas of interest include Ultrasonography and Internal Medicine. She enjoys outdoor pursuits, singing and exercising in her spare time.
